News Article:
Oil Plummets To $64
Jay Yarow Jul. 6, 2009, 2:49 PM
The price of oil closed today just above $64, a 5 week low. The price of oil has been moving slowly, but steadily away from its high at $73.
What's changing? The global recovery that was supposed to be on its way looks like it's going to be put off. Without the recovery, it's looking pretty unlikely that demand for oil returns anytime soon.

California Downgraded By Fitch
Joe Weisenthal  Jul. 6, 2009, 4:39 PM
This just in, via CNBC, Fitch has downgraded California's debt two notches, though it's still barely above junk. As usual, the ratings agency is coming to a conclusion the market has reached some time ago.
State Treasurer Bill Lockyer is on TV, talking to Maria Bartiromo, saying there's little risk of a default.
For now, California IOUs are still trading at parity to the dollar, but we're on the lookout for any signs of slippage. When we see the first, big transactions going through at sub-$1, that'll be big.

Task 2 – Summarize what you have personally gained from this course, and how you plan to put into action what you have learned.

I got many things form this course:
Even though I speak English everyday, the grammatical side of the language is usually neglected. I learned and remembered lot of grammar I had forgotten.
More important than grammatical issues, what I find more useful about the course is the practical knowledge on how to teach a class in a systematic way. How to classify your students, how to properly use the material. What material is the right one with respect to the student and the lesson. What aids are the most effective and how to use them.
How to plan a lesson, measure progress and deal with discipline and confidence issue that can arise.
Another thing is the material, its great material, simple, clear, short and practical. No matter what you do, as long as the language doesn’t change the material will be current, relevant and useful.
